Omar takes a dig at Pakistan

By IANS,

Jammu : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday took a dig at Pakistan, saying it claims to be sympathiser of Kashmiris and yet had forced the cancellation of the only international flight from Srinagar by denying overflight over its territory.

“Srinagar’s only international flight was stopped because Pakistan didn’t allow overflight & yet they claim to be Kashmiri’s sympathizers,” Omar posted on microblogging site Twitter.

Air India had started Srinagar to Dubai flight Feb 14, 2009, but it had to be discontinued because of the objections raised by Pakistan.

Omar Abdullah’s tweet has come on the eve the of India-Pakistan foreign ministers’ talks scheduled to be held in New Delhi Wednesday.
