Islamabad : A suicide bomber Thursday blew up a car packed with 600 kg of explosives near a police station in Pakistan’s northwest killing nine people including four policemen, police said.
More than 30 people were wounded, three of them critically, in the horrific attack in the middle of a densely populated part of Hangu town, 150 km south of Peshawar, Geo News said.
“The bomber blew himself up when a police patrol went close to his car for a security check,” Hangu district coordination officer Adil Siddique said.
Several houses collapsed from the impact of the blast.
