Tehran : Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has said the US is putting pressure on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the analysis of Iran’s nuclear programme, Press TV reported.
It was reported earlier that the IAEA was preparing to reveal new intelligence on Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons programme next week.
“If the IAEA is impartial it should resist the pressures exerted by certain countries and do its job professionally,” Iran’s former nuclear chief Salehi said.
The US and its Western allies accuse Iran of developing nuclear weapons under the cover of a peaceful nuclear energy programme. Tehran denies all the charges, saying that its nuclear programme is focused on the country’s electricity needs.
