Islamabad : Pakistan and the US have a friendly relationship, but friends often disagree with one another, an American official has said.
Mitchell Moss, counsellor for public affairs at the US embassy here, said Saturday that the Pakistan-US friendship was based on “people-to-people relationship”, the Daily Times reported Sunday.
“Sometimes friends agree, sometimes they don’t, but fundamentally they like each other,” Moss said at a media workshop.
The comments came hours before a NATO strike on Pakistani border posts Saturday left two dozen Pakistani soldiers dead, plunging Islamabad’s ties with Washington to a new low.
