PFI organizes Eid Milan in Bangalore

Bangalore: With message of unity and mutual understanding, Karnataka unit of Popular Front of India (PFI) conducted an Eid Milan get-together on 15th September at Adams Golden Heritage, Benson Town, Bangalore.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dwarakanath, Commissioner for the Backward Commission, highlighted the importance of social justice in a secular nation. He said Dalits and Muslims are facing major hurdles for getting equal rights to join the mainstream. He suggested that PFI should start working together with departments such as the Backward Commission which are trying to eliminate this marginalization of certain sections of society.



Elyas Mohammed Thumbe, President, Popular Front of India, Karnataka state, briefed some of the activities of PFI to the gathering. He quoted several incidents of natural calamities and accidents in which PFI actively involved in rescue operations and extended a helping hand for the needy.

Prof Narasimaih, leader from Ahinda, said that today communalism and fascism are the biggest enemies of India.



In his speech, Mr. Anis Ahmed, National Executive Council member of PFI, explained the aims and objectives of PFI. He stated how it was being misrepresented and defended its cause.

Other dignitaries who spoke on the occasion include Abdul Wahid Sait, Vice President, PFI, Karnataka, Abdul Majeed Kodlipet. Karnataka State President, SDPI. B.K. Altaf Khan, Corporator, JJR Nagar. Shafiulla, Vice President of Karnataka state Parent body of JD(s), Prof. Nazneen Begum, Corporator, Padarayanapura and Maulana Qadeer Ahmed.
