Badarpur, Assam South: Human Welfare Foundation (New Delhi), PM Foundation (Kerala) and Fatima Health Care group jointly felicitated 125 meritorious students belonging to Muslim minority community of Assam South at a function held at Nabin Chandra College, Badarpur, South Assam.
The awardee students were those who scored more than 60% marks in Board Examination for the academic session 2011. Each student was given a cash award of Rs 1000 and Certificate of Merit.

The Academic Excellence Award – 2011 is an initiative of Human Welfare Foundation, New Delhi. “The Academic Excellence Award – 2011 is meant to encourage the students to continue performing better in future. It is to motivate the minority students for performing excellently in their academic studies.
Addressing the students and their parents, Chief Guest Ejaz Ahmad Aslam, Editor Radiance weekly, emphasized the role of education in the development of our country. “Therefore, HWF is making every effort to improve the quality of life of the neglected sections of this society through the Vision 2016 program,” he said.

Audience
The function was presided over by Mr Zulfiqar Ghazi , president Al Ameen Foundation Badarpur He congratulated the awardees and said that this award will be a milestone in their life and urged them to perform better and better, so as to compete with this extremely competitive world.
A number of other dignitaries who attended the program included DFO Salmanuddin Chaudhary, Gumrah Assembly MLA Ataurrahman, National Coordinator vision2016 Salimullah Khan.
