Hyderabad: Muslims in Andhra Pradesh will get their “due share” in the Rajiv Education and Employment Mission. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Kiran Kumar Reddy hinted at this, while accepting the study report on the Socio-Economic conditions of Muslims in Andhra Pradesh from eminent economist Abusaleh Shariff on Tuesday.
In a programme organized by the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Reddy announced that there will be a proper mechanism like a “sub-mission” to ensure that the community gets sufficient representation in the 15 lakh jobs to be created in the next three years under the employment scheme.

The CM couldn’t make any announcement to this effect because election code of conduct was observed in the state capital.
Reddy said the need of the hour was to synchronize education and skill development as far as Muslim youths were concerned.
“We are synchronizing education and skill development as the industry needs a mixture of both the components in the candidates,” he said, and added that three more centres to train Muslim candidates will come up all over India and state level competitive exams like All India Civil Services would be set in the state in addition to the one at Hyderabad.
AP CM also said that the 4% reservation to Muslims in the state will be extended by another five years. He highlighted the ongoing plans by the UPA government at the center to provide reservation to the community on the pattern of Andhra Pradesh.
“I had a talk with Law Minister Salman Khursheed and he informed me that soon the center is planning to provide reservation to Muslims under the category of socially and economically backward classes (SEBC),” added the chief minister.
While addressing the gathering MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi criticized the government and Minorities Finance Development Corporation for “not sanctioning loans to the applicants.” He said that in 2011 the corporation received 5,700 applications for loans but only 123 applicants managed to get loans.
Owaisi, younger brother of Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the government for allotting waqf lands to MNCs and corporate sector.
