Bundi, Rajasthan: Rehab India Foundation (RIF) launched its Education centre in Talera, Bundi District, Rajasthan today 27th of November as part of its Village Development Project. District Grains Market President – Mr. Kamlesh Chandna inaugurated the centre and said Mahatma Gandhiji’s dream may come true if Rehab’s activities are implemented systematically in all the villages, since India, according to Gandhiji, does not live in its towns but in its villages.
Rehab Institute was inaugurated by Taluk chairperson Yashodha Chandna by cutting ribbons.
Zafarulla Khan, Programme Manager, RIF introduced the activities of Rehab in various parts of the country and said Rehab will adopt Talera village, if the villagers and the Government Representatives of the village support them. Rehab India Foundation aims that every village has to be self-sustained and capable of managing its affairs even to the extent of defending itself against any global disaster.
Rehab considers education as the most effective tool for the empowerment of marginalized classes. Rehab through its Education Centres provides primary education where a large number of children
are kept away from schools or centers of primary learning due to ignorance and poverty. It also provides regular remedial tuition to equip primary school students as well as dropouts to compete with others.
Hundreds of people of Talera Village attended the inauguration of Education Centre where 158 students of Class 3rd to Class 10th have taken admission on the day of its inauguration.
Also attended the programme were Lino Kurien, School Principal who delivered the complimentary speech. Rehab’s Educare Teacher Mrs. Farzana welcomed the gathering and Education Centre Co-ordinator delivered vote of thanks.
