Islamabad : Fourteen low-intensity bombs were detonated on rail tracks in southern Pakistan’s Sindh province, a media report said Monday.

The explosions took place in eight districts of Sindh, including Karachi, halting the rail traffic for up to six hours Saturday, police said.

The services of 19 express trains were affected. An official said that 100 gm of explosives was used in each blast in Karachi.

The explosive material was not of very good quality. The terrorists detonated them with fire, the Dawn newspaper quoted an official as saying.
