New Delhi: Markazi Chand Committee of Farangi Mahal, Lucknow has announced a short while ago that Saturday will be the first day of Ramazan. Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind has also made similar statement citing moon sighting in Mysore, Karnataka.
Nayeemuddin Siddiqui, General Secretary, Markazi Chand Committee, Farangi Mahal, Lucknow, in a statement a short while ago, said: “Moon sighting in different parts of the country has been confirmed on the parameters of shariah. Therefore, Maualan Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali, President of the committee, has announced that 21st July will be the first day of Rmazan.”
Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulema has also confirmed the beginning of Ramazan from Saturday. In a statement at 11:07 pm today, Azeemullah Siddiqi Qasmi, media coordinator of Jamiat said: “Moon sighting committee of Jamiat Ulama-i- Hind has confirmed that the moon was sighted In Mysore, Karnataka. Therefore tomorrow will be first Ramadan.”
