New Delhi : The Delhi government Wednesday decided to open registration of land and sale and purchase deeds in 320 erstwhile unauthorised colonies which were recently regularised.
The orders in respect of these 320 colonies, which had come up on private land, will be issued in a day or two, a Delhi government official said.
The decision was taken by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in a meeting to review the functioning of the task force constituted especially to deal with issues related to the 895 recently authorised colonies.
Besides, Dikshit instructed the task force to expedite the regularisation of the remaining 570 colonies, a Delhi government official said.
A decision was also taken to expedite the regularisation of colonies on Gram Sabha land. Residents of these colonies will also be able to get their land, sale and purchase deeds registered soon.
“Dikshit expressed hope that the process of regularisation of the remaining colonies will be completed by January 2013,” the official said.
Dikshit has instructed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to expedite the finalisation of lay out plans for 895 regularised colonies.
The Shiela Dikshit-led Congress government in Delhi had issued provisional regularisation certificates to over 1,600 illegal colonies in 2008, ahead of the state assembly polls.
However, the move hung fire till September this year, when Dikshit took up the matter with the central government and got a go-ahead for the regularisation of 917 unauthorised colonies.
