Aligarh: Karuna International, an organization promoting compassion, kindness and values of life, has bestowed upon Muslim Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) its prestigious Acharaya Hasti Karuna Institution Award for this year.
The award carries a cheque of Rs 50,000 and a citation. It will be given to the MCCI in the 17th national conference of Karuna International to be held on December 27 & 28 at Jodhpur, a release said here.
“We are happy that our hard work for banning cow and illegal slaughter in country has been recognized. Our cattle, especially cow population, is fast declining and the country is facing shortage of milk. So, apart from the government the NGOs and public should come forward to save the cow, which is worshipped also by a large section of Indian population,” a release from MCCI said.
