New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Saturday said that the Delhi government will soon appoint new anti-corruption officers to investigate all graft cases against the previous government.
“I have talked to the Lt Governor regarding the removal of the some of the anti-corruption officers appointed by the previous government”, Kejriwal said in an interview to TV news channel CNN-IBN.
He said that new officers will be appointed by his government after watching their records, so that they work with honesty in investigating corruption cases without being biased towards any political party.
“I have handed over the list of officers to the Lt Governor, to be removed from their current postings in the Economic Offence Wing and Delhi Jal Board,” Kejriwal said.
“May it be corruption cases against the Congress or the BJP, we won’t compromise at any point,” Kejriwal said, adding that the Congress party will now regret extending support to the Aam Aadmi Party to form the government.
He said that he has started looking into the Commonwealth Games files, and will take initiative to investigate the matter soon.
As soon as the new officers are appointed in the next three or four days, investigation will start into all the corruption cases, Kejriwal said.
