Budding photographer Tanveer Ahmed has sent some photos of old city Hyderabad taken a day before ‘chand raat’ ( the night of sighting the moon) when the bazaars of old city are open all night and bargaining is in full swing.

Pearl city, Hyderabad is also famous for it’s food which is from different countries and the stone bangles. Ramzan is the time when the city is lit up and there is a festive air everywhere which has been captured in the photos here:

Pathar ka gosht- another speciality of Hyderabad from the times of the Nizam. Mutton is heated on a wide stone and spices are added once the mutton is heated

Within the vicinity of the Charminar there are many bazars within bazars like Pathergatti, Laad bazaar, Dewan Devdi, Patel Market, Medina market, Shahran market ( specially for imported items).
