Lucknow : Following complaints that school students took ill after taking Vitamin A drops during a heath check-up in Uttar Pradesh, the authorities Saturday ordered an inquiry.
“We have learnt that over a dozen students of the government school in Nasratpur village in Ghazipur district were hospitalised after being given the vitamin drops,” Ghazipur chief medical officer Om Prakash told IANS.
He said: “The incident occurred two days ago but we learnt about it Saturday morning after some locals approached us. We have already sent the vitamin samples for testing.” Ghazipur is nearly 300 km from Lucknow.
