Baghdad : One person was killed and at least 10 injured in twin blasts that rocked the Iraqi capital Thursday, the Voices of Iraq (VOI) news agency reported.
In the first blast a car bomb exploded in a market place in northestern al-Hurria district. The explosion killed a civilian and wounded five, a police source said.
In the second blast, a bomb went off targeting a police patrol in al-Fadiliya district in the capital’s east. Five people, including three policemen, were injured in the explosion, according to the source.
In a separate incident in northern Salahaddin province, a car filled with explosives targeted a number of oil tankers belonging to the Kurdish security forces in Albo Ajeil village. A Kurdish policeman was injured in the attack.
