New Delhi : Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was late Friday evening admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for check up – three weeks after he was discharged from the hospital.
Vajpayee, 84, was admitted for routine follow up and investigations.
“He was admitted at around 9 p.m.,” said a senior AIIMS doctor.
He is to stay in the hospital for two days for some tests.
The senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader was admitted to AIIMS Feb 3 for a chest infection. After his condition became serious and he got lung infection, he was put on ventilator support. He was discharged on March 1.
