Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur unit of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (JUH) has appealed to Muslims not to vote for the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate for Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat, rather cast their vote in favor of the candidate of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha that is led by former chief minister Babulal Marandi.
At a press conference held at Sakshi Hotel in the city in which the top leaders of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha were also present the Jharkhand JUH leaders made this announcement.
State JUH Secretary Maulana Samiullah Miftahi, Mufti Nishat, Maulana Ikram and others said that JMM is now exploiting the Muslims. They alleged that JMM chief and his sons have indulged in anti-Muslim activities. Let alone giving ticket to any Muslim candidate in Lok Sabha election, despite being in alliance with the United Progressive Alliance, Durga Soren, son of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha supremo Shibu Soren, is contesting against the Congress nominee Furqan Ansari from Godda parliamentary constituency. Not only this, Durga Soren has also spewed venom against the Muslim candidate in particular and Muslims in general.
“This attitude of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has outraged the Muslims. Therefore, we strongly oppose it. And we announce our support to the Babulal Marandi led Jharkhand Vikas Morcha’s candidate from Jamshedpur, Mr. Aravind Singh alias Malkhan Singh,” JUH leaders said.
On the other hand, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and United Milli Forum have announced their support to and appealed the community to vote for the JMM candidate Suman Mahto from the same seat. The president of Momin Welfare Society and local Congress leader Roohul Jameel has also appealed to the Muslims to vote for Mahto.
