New Delhi: A domestic help murdered his employer’s five-year-old son in Krishna Nagar area of east Delhi in an act of vengeance as he believed the medicines the family gave him had made him impotent, police said Friday.
The boy, Lakshya Kumar Bindal, a kindergarten student, went missing from his house Oct 13 afternoon. His family registered a missing person complaint at the local police station.
“We received a complaint from the boy’s father, Sushil Kumar Bindal, Tuesday. He told us their domestic help Bhairon Singh was missing along with the child. We then became suspicious about his involvement in the crime,” a senior police officer said.
Bhairon Singh was working with the Bindals for the past seven years and his police verification was done. With the help of his address in the verification papers, police raided his village in south Delhi to trace him.
“When we reached the village, we came to know that he had come there and gone to a nursing home for some treatment. One of our teams went to the nursing home and arrested the accused Friday,” the police officer added.
“On interrogation, he confessed to the crime and revealed that he killed the boy as he wanted to take revenge on the family. He believed he had become impotent because of the medicines given to him by the family. On his instance, the body was recovered from a drain in Krishna Nagar area,” the police official said.
Lakshay was studying in a public school in Shreshta Vihar.
