Once published from the UAE, the paper will cater to about 200,000 Chinese people living in the country, thus bringing them news from home and enlightening them on the culture and traditions of the UAE at the same time, WAM news agency reported.

People’s Daily started its publication in June 1948 and boasts of a current circulation of about three million, which places it among the world’s top 10 dailies, according to Unesco’s estimates.

The visiting delegation toured the various departments of the National Media Council (NMC) including the Emirates News Agency (WAM) and was briefed on the services provided by the agency.

Al Abed welcomed the delegation and promised cooperation within the framework of the country’s rules and regulations.
