Azamgarh madrasas celebrate Republic Day

Azamgarh: New year (2010) started with a sustained cold weather and it was foggy as well as biting cold in the morning of Republic Day. However, enthusiasm on the occasion displayed specifically by tiny tots and children warmed up the environment in Azamgarh.

In Quraish Higher Secondary School which also runs Maktaba Islamia Jamiatul Quraish, National tricolour was hoisted at 9:30 am. Teachers and students moved inside for the function after the flag hoisting ceremony.

The Republic Day function inside Quraish School started with the recital of verses from Holy Quran after which well dressed boys and girls sang poems in praise of our Socialist Democratic Republic. In one of the presentation girls emphasized the importance of tree plantation thus saving our environment from pollution. They expressed great determination in saving our country’s environment (accompanied videos).

Due to cold weather children were huddled inside the Library of Madarsa Jamiatur Rashad and patiently listened to the speeches and poems presented by their senior colleagues.

A small Madarsa Anwarul Quran was not lagging behind in displaying their patriotic fervour. Even much after their function they posed for TCN.

Most of the children were escorted to their school and were prominently displaying the “Tiranga”. An Azamgarh lad who is a proud inventor of a mini improvised jeep was driving on the road with National Flag tucked in front.
