Dubai : The Unite Arab Emirates will observe the World Biodiversity Day Saturday in an effort to create awareness about environment conservation.
The celebration aims to draw attention of governments, communities and individuals about environment and biodiversity, which has been deteriorating due to many factors.
The loss of biodiversity is not confined to losing of some species but poses great risks to the ecological system, which threatens human development and welfare, said Environment and Water Minister Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd.
