Tehran : Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has left La Paz for Caracas after meeting Bolivian President Evo Morales during his short visit.
During his visit Thursday, three cooperation documents in the fields of energy and industry were signed by the two countries’ officials.
The two presidents also signed a cooperation agreement and a joint communique. The presidents call the visit a turning point in bilateral ties and underscored the need for further cooperation.
Ahmadinejad said there is no limit to expansion of coopeation with Bolivia while his counterpart called the visit a historic one.
After talks with Morales, Ahmadinejad was warmly welcomed by thousands of Bolivian people who had gathered in front of the presidential palace in La Paz.
He was then seen off officially by Morales at the airport.
