New Delhi : Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Friday defended the petrol price hike, terming it a “compulsion” of the central government.
“There is a price rise, and there is no doubt that it is affecting all of us across the board. But I suppose it was (the hike) due to the central government’s compulsions,” Dikshit told reporters Friday.
“It is not that the government is not concerned. I think it is something we have to face with determination,” she said.
The price of petrol was hiked by Rs.1.80 Thursday night.
