Thiruvananthapuram : The talk has been around for some time but veteran Kerala leader K. Karunakaran made his most open declaration yet Monday that he was returning to the Congress.
Addressing hundreds of workers of the former Democratic Indira Congress – Karunakaran (DIC-K) — that was formed after splitting from the Congress and has merged with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) — Karunakaran said he had been wrong in leaving the Congress.
“I was wrong in criticising the Congress. It was wrong for me to leave. Now I’m coming back,” he said.
