Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has declared that its annual alumni meet for the year 2015 will be organized on October 18-19, 2015.
Dr Suhail Sabir, chairman, Alumni Affairs Committee, has urged all alumni residing in different parts of the world to attend the get together and relive their student days in the University.
Dr Sabir said that the University considers its alumni a potential partner in its development and their annual union will provide them with an opportunity to share the dreams and aspirations nurtured by the present generation of the students, a release from AMU said.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah has expressed great hopes in University’s alumni and called upon them to visit their alma mater and witness the surge of development that has taken place in the University over the last few years. Gen Shah said that AMU treated its alumni as one of the key stakeholders in its future growth.
Dr Sabir said that a large number of alumni from USA and Gulf region have expressed willingness to participate in the grand celebration, coincided with the 198th birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, founder of the University and one of the architects of modern India, the release added.
