Gandhinagar : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former health minister Ashok Bhatt was Friday elected the speaker of the 12th Gujarat assembly.
Bhatt was the only nominee for the post. Minister of State for Home Amit Shah proposed his name and his nomination was seconded by the leader of the opposition Shakti Sinh Gohil.
