Pakistani Prime Minister arrives in Yemen

Sana, Yemen : Prime Minister Muhammadmian Soomro arrived here Friday on a two-day official visit.

He was warmly received at the airport by Yemeni Prime Minister Dr Ali Muhammad Mujowwar and other senior officials.

On arrival, the Prime Minister and his delegation was presented guard of honour. Two children presented him a bouquet.

Prime Minister Mujowwar introduced him to members of his cabinet. Later Prime Minister Soomro introduced members of his entourage to the Yemeni Prime Minister.

The goodwill visit of Prime Minister is aimed at further cementing bilateral ties, specially the economic and commercial relations. It will also provide a unique opportunity to review bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Prime Minister Soomro is leading an important trade delegation to Yemen and Saudi Arabia and would meet businessmen of these countries.

He will hold meetings with Prime Minister Dr Mujowwar followed by delegation level talks. Other engagements also include meetings with President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Chairman of the Shoora Council Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani.

The Prime Minister will also address the Yemeni businessmen and meet with Pakistani community.

He is accompanied by caretaker Minister for Labour Nisar Ghumman and Minister for Health Ijaz Rahim, Governor Punjab Lt Gen (Retd) Khalid Maqbool.
