Islamabad : A Pakistani bus carrying at least 40 passengers has been kidnapped in a bordering town, known as the town of kidnapping gangsters.
The bus en route to Jalalabad city of Afghanistan was captured and passengers taken as hostages by a kidnapping gangster near Landi Kottal town of Khyber tribal agency, security officials told KUNA.
However, officially the incident has not been confirmed. Security officials denied any Taliban or Al-Qaeda link to the incident saying a bunch of kidnappers has taken passengers as hostages for ransom.
It may be mentioned here that Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan was also kidnapped near Landi Kottal a month back and still has not been traced out.
