Putin for Middle East Conference

By Prensa Latina

Moscow : Russian President Vladimir Putin Wednesday insisted on the need to hold an international conference with the participation of all the countries involved in the Middle East conflict.

When highlighting the importance of that issue in the recent talks held with his Egyptian peer, Hosni Mubarak, Putin confirmed his country is negotiating on that matter with the United States, Israel, and the Arab nations in order to carry out that conversation in Moscow.

Regarding the parties desire to cooperate, the Russian leader said that it is difficult to assess since the situation remains complicated.

During Mubaraks visit, which concluded 24 hours ago, Russia and Moscow agreed to join forces to achieve peace in the Middle East.

Moscow is promoting an international conference to activate political solutions as the only way to reach peace in the Middle East.

The proposal includes the Israeli-Palestine crisis, the chaos in Iraq after the US-led occupation, the situation in Afghanistan, the disagreements on the Iranian nuclear program, and the Lebanese situation.
