Kanpur: A symposium on ‘Hazrat Muhammad: Redeemer of Mankind’ was held in the office of Kanpur unit of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind on 26th May which was addressed by several Hindu scholars.
Speaking on the topic, Anand Shivanand, a city scholar, said Allah sent Hazrat Muhammad in the worst social conditions of Arabia as His prophet and gave him the Holy Quran. On the basis of the principles of Quran, Muhammad founded a society which not only established brotherhood but also associated them with Allah.
In his lecture, Tara Chand of Red Star Welfare Mission said Quran can be understood correctly only when it is studied along with the biography of the Prophet. He further said Hazrat Muhammad has done great benefaction for humanity by removing the distinctions of colour and race.
Another scholar Dr. Surya Prasad Dwivedi said fourteen hundred years ago when humanity was on the verge of collapse, Muhammad turned ignorant Arabs into humane people. We can achieve salvation if we accept even one principle enunciated by the Prophet, he said.
Appreciating JIH, senior advocate of the city Lakhan Lal Ambedkar said this organization has obliged us in many ways. He said this is the organization that introduced Islam and Hazrat Muhammad to us, as a result of which much improvement came in us and we arranged our daughters’ marriage without any dowry. JIH local president Haji Zaheeruddin said if we live a simple life as taught by Hazrat Muhammad, we can keep ourselves from many evils.
