Rampur: Shahi Imam of Punjab and national president of Majlis-e-Ihrar-e-Islam Hind (MIIH) Maulana Habibur Rahman Thani Ludhianvi appealed to Muslims to show their unity against oppression committed on Muslims.
Thousands of Muslims have been taken into custody illegally but the community has not made any impressive protest against it, he said, adding that if Muslims banish their sectarian differences and get united, the situation will change. He said there is a need of massive demonstration and protest to force the government to make the system unbiased in regard with Muslims.
Talking to journalists here on 2nd June, he said time has come when Ulema will have to come out. He said Muslim unity in Punjab has shown results. The Prakash Singh Badal government has taken several steps to restore several mosques and Muslim graveyards in the state.
