Lucknow: A state-level conference of lawyers held in Allahabad on 2nd June condemned the decision by some district bar associations to not plead in cases related to Muslims detained on suspicion of terrorism.
The conference decided by majority vote that they will pursue the cases of Muslim terror suspects. President of the state Bar Council also participated in the meet.
Meanwhile, advocate Mohammad Shoaeb, the legal advisor of some Muslim terror suspects, has appealed to lawyer community to submit their applications for pleading in cases of terrorism. It is expected that many lawyers will turn in the next hearing of the case on 7th June.
