New Delhi : Some unidentified men Sunday threw a glass bottle at the official residence of Jammu and Kashmir MP Mehbooba Mufti in a highly secured area of New Delhi, the police said.
The police said they received a call from her AB-63 Shahjahan Road residence around 2 p.m. and were informed of the incident.
Mufti’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had withdrawn support to the Congress, their coalition partner in Jammu and Kashmir, over the Amarnath Shrine land allotment row. Her party was opposing the land transfer to the shrine board.
Despite repeated attempts, Mufti and senior police officials could not be contacted for comments.
