New Delhi : India dropped one place to 162nd in the world football rankings for July released by FIFA Wednesday on its website.
The Indians, with a tally of 74 points, lag behind South Asian neighbours Maldives, who stay 157th with 87 points, and Sri Lanka, one place down to 160 with 85 points.
The South Asian Federation Football (SAFF) Cup is to be jointly hosted by Maldives and Sri Lanka this December.
The other South Asian nations in the July FIFA rankings are:
