Firdose Vandrevala quits Motorola

New Delhi : Global handset manufacturer Motorola Inc. Monday announced the resignation of its corporate vice president and Motorola India chairman Firdose Vandrevala.

The resignation would be effective for July 1.

"Firdose is leaving us to pursue other career interests. He has contributed to our strategy, growth, and governance," Simon Leung, president (Asia Pacific) of Motorola Inc., said in a statement here.

"Amit Sharma, vice president-strategy, Asia Pacific, and regional management, Southeast Asia, will assume additional responsibility for India in the interim," he added.
