Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind leaders urged to save it from disintegration

New Delhi: A delegation of Majlis-e-Tahaffuz-e-Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (MTJ) met with Maulana Arshad Madani and Maulana Mahmood Madani on 25th April and appealed to them to end the conflict within Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JUH).

MTJ head Haji Mian Fayyazuddin, who was leading the delegation, presented a three-point memorandum to JUH leaders. Fayyazuddin says present disturbances in JUH are unfortunate for the Muslim community in India. He said if this fissure is not overcome soon, situation will worsen further and will affect all Muslims. He told that both leaders have been requested to give written reply within a week to the proposals in the memorandum.

The proposals include voluntary resignation of the two leaders from their posts and formation of a committee of non-aligned distinguished Ulema which will bind both parties to adhere to terms of reconciliation formula respecting.
