Thiruvananthapuram : A delegation of German parliament Bundestag, led by Josef Winkler, visited Technopark campus here Tuesday.
Stefan Graf, the counsel general of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bangalore, accompanied the group.
These parliamentarians are members of various parliamentary committees that promote economic, business, foreign and cultural relationships between Germany and India.
A brief presentation on Technopark was given to the seven-member delegation.
The parliamentarians also interacted with the heads of various Technopark companies.
“The delegation noted with interest the developments in Technopark and the economic prospects of the city. They mentioned that this visit would certainly help in closer ties between Technopark and Germany,” Technopark official M. Vasudevan told IANS.
Set up in the late nineties, Technopark today houses 140 companies employing more than 18,000 employees. The park is slated for further expansion.
