Dubai : Six people were killed and another injured when the ground floor of a hotel under construction collapsed in the emirate of Ajman, early Monday.

Six others are believed to have been trapped in the rubble of the collapsed structure.

Ajman police chief, Colonel Ali Abdulah ‘Alwan attributed the reason for the collapse to excess concrete having been poured on the floor.
