Gaza : Israel has reopened the commercial crossings linking it with the Gaza Strip after a few days of closure.
According to the Israeli Yedioth Internet news, the crossings were opened Sunday following a series of contacts between Egyptian and Israeli security officials.
The reopening of crossings would allow the passage of 80 trucks loaded with goods and equipment into the Strip, Israel said.
Despite repeated Palestinian violations of the truce agreed to by both parties, Israeli Deputy Defence Minister Matan Vilnai decided Saturday that the Gaza crossings would be reopened on Sunday, according to the report.
The Nahal Oz fuel terminal was reopened on Friday to allow the transfer of a limited quantity of fuel to Gaza.
