Saharanpur: The schism within Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JUH) is likely to be ended soon, thanks to the continued efforts by Maulana Marghubur Rahman, rector of Darul Uloom Deoband.
With an aim to resolve the crisis in JUH that began with the removal of its president Maulana Arshad Madani in the 6th March meeting of the JUH working committee, Maulana Marghubur Rahman has come out with a proposal. Both Maulana Arshad Madani and JUH general secretary Maulana Mahmood Madani have accepted the proposal.
To iron out differences between the two leaders and resolve the crisis, Maulana Marghubur Rahman had suggested the formation of a committee comprising eminent Ulama. The committee will solve out the issue within the constitution of the organization. In case of a dispute over any part or section of the constitution, the committee’s decision will be accepted to all parties.
In the 6th March meeting, a no-confidence motion was passed by the working committee, resulting in the walkout of Maulana Arshad Madani from the meeting. Then the committee appointed Qari Muhammad Usman as caretaker president of the organization.
