Kolkata(IANS) : At least three children have died and seven adults are battling for their lives after drinking contaminated water from a tube well in West Bengal’s North 24-Praganas district, media reports said Wednesday.
The three victims – Sana Parveen, Mohammad Sahabuddin and Mohammad Raja – were residents of the Jute Mill Old Line complex on the outskirts of Kamarhati area.The incident happened Tuesday.
Authorities have sealed the tube well and sent water samples for testing.
