Ahmedabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is keeping its options open on approaching the apex court against the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) exceeding its brief in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh murder probe, a party leader said Wednesday.
Purshottam Rupala, former state unit chief of the BJP and the party's national vice-president, threatened to intensify its agitation if the federal investigating agency "does not stop exceeding limit".
"We will fight at all levels, on the streets, in parliament as well as in courts," he said.
The ruling BJP is holding demonstrations across the state against the CBI and the central government to protest the arrest of an Indian Police Service officer in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh case. The case is being investigated by the CBI on a Supreme Court directive.
The party organised a demonstration outside the local CBI office and later took out a rally in Ahmedabad.
According to state party chief R.C. Faldu, the statewide protest programme was a success.
The Gujarat BJP May 2 alleged that the central government was misusing the CBI as a tool against the state government, and threatened a stir.

What ELSE does Bhajpa do, apart from FIGHTING on STREETS. Displaying GOONDAISM, MACHOISM, Kaar-Seva (Beykaar and Badnaam Seva) - I mean practicing Mob-o-Crazy in a Demo-Crazy.
If DEMOCRACY is to be protected, and COMMON MAN want's to LIVE in PEACE, such threatening STATEMENT(s), need to be fought with TOOTH and NAIL - by common citizens.
To me, it is a common citizens (Aam Aadmi's) FIGHT against Sham Opposition AND Ruling Party, as both are engaged in TAKING us on a FREE RIDE.
