Career Fest-2011 to be held on 15-16 Jan in Mumbai

Mumbai: The Career Fest-2011, a two-day career and educational guidance and counselling program for students, will be held on 15th and 16th January at MH Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Byculla, Mumbai. This will be 3rd consecutive program since it was launched in 2009 which was attended by more than 8000 students. The organizers expect much more participants this year as the success and popularity of the program has since spread far and wide.

The details about the mega career guidance event were provided to the media today at Marathi Patrakar Sangh here in Mumbai by Aamir Edresy, President, Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), the main brain behind the initiative.

Career Fest-2011, a 2-day mega career and educational guidance is being organized for the 3rd consecutive year since it was first organized in the Year 2009. More than 8,000 students and visitors had participated in the 2-day event, which was held on 11th & 12th April 2009 and this was followed by another event in January 2010 where more than 12,000 students and visitors benefited from this event. These events ended on a high note, with lots of appreciation from Students, Teachers, Professionals and Guests where each one of them was looking forward to have more events on similar lines, said Mr Edresy.

“To keep up with the expectations of the students, parents & Teachers Anjuman-i-Islam and Association of Muslim Professionals are back again with Career Fest with support from other voluntary & social organizations like Urdu Markaz, Urdu Head Masters Association, All India Ideal Teachers Association (AIITA) & Leap India Foundation,” he informed.

The highlights of this fest are the opportunities and exposure provided to not so informed section of students regarding various career options including unconventional careers, career chart for school drop-outs, educational loans & scholarships etc, which will actually help the students and add value to their profile. Even unique topics such as Opportunities for non-Engineering graduates in IT have been covered.

This organization has been forth coming in various initiatives for career development of the students from Urdu medium schools.

AIITA: AIITA stands for All India Ideal Teachers Association, as the name suggests this is an association which aims towards building up those ideal values in teachers so that the students mentored by them grow up into idealistic human beings. This organization has been working hard towards improving the quality of life as well as education for the students trying to guide them into growing up as wholesome human being with deep values inculcated in them. This organization is never lagging behind when it comes to working towards betterment for students.

Leap India Foundation: An NGO that was formed by some like-minded, able and efficient professionals from diverse fields who feel it is their duty to give back to the society. They have been drawn together by their common passion for the educational, social and economic upliftment of the weaker section in particular and the entire society in general.
