The Karnataka police charged her with intimidating the witnesses in the 2008 Bengaluru blast case in November 2010. She had interviewed the witnesses and published a report in ‘Tehelka’ which questioned the claims of the police. Shahina has submitted an anticipatory bail plea at the Karnataka High Court, after her plea was rejected by a lower court.
