Addressing the public hearing on 1st July 2012 at Pink City Press Club, Jaipur, Er Mohd Saleem, Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, said govt while giving justice to people keep votes in view and instead of giving justice to victims, take side of the community who has more votes. He warned the govt to not forget that when time comes people give befitting reply. He said if people are not getting justice or police and administration are doing injustice, chief minister should be held responsible for all this.

Mohd. Nazimuddin of Rajasthan Muslim Forum said that in last few years, minorities and dalits have faced atrocities in the state and no action has been taken against any officer in any case, but some guilty officers of police and administration have been promoted. He said communal riots have occurred in Sarada of Udaipur, Balesar of Jodhpur, Surwal of Sawai Madhopur, Manohar Thana of Jhalawad, Sakhad of Ajmer, Dungarpur, Banswarda, Sri Ganganagar, and Ggopalgarh, but the victims have not yet got justice.

At the end of the public hearing, the participants pledged to keep state free from riot. They appealed to political parties to work for communal harmony in the society rather than just vote politics. They also demanded that CBI should start probe on all 19 FIRs and keep from partial attitude in the probe of Gopalgarh riot.
