By TwoCircles.net Staff Reporter,

Dhule: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal activists on Wednesday beat a college professor working at Dr Ambedkar College of Social Work, 5 km from Dhule.

Six persons have been arrested, according to police, and a case against them has been registered against them in Dhule Taluka Police station.
They have been identified as Rohit Chandawde, Kailash Madi, Yogesh Mukende, Hemant Patil, Manoj Jadhav and Umesh Bhila Patil.

They had entered Dr Ambedkar College of Social Work and demanded immediate suspension of Prof Pramod Sukhdev Bhumbe for making ‘derogatory comments against Hindu religion’ and mercilessly beating the professor even as the college staff tried to pacify them.

Dhule has been in news for a month now, since January communal riot and subsequent police firing that killed 6 people.
