“The Varanasi District administration expects the number of fake voters might reach above six lakhs when the verification process will be over. A high level and impartial investigation has to be announced at once. There is something fishy in the episode and to ensure transparent and fair investigation, Mr. Narendra Modi must resign on moral grounds. Mr. Narendra Modi had won the election from the seat with a margin of 3,71,784 votes defeating Arvind Kejriwal of Aam Admi Party,” WPI said in a statement.

Party General Secretary P.C. Hamza said that the half-way finding made after visiting every household of the constituency personally by the Election Commission officials is shocking and a shame on the democracy of which we boast much.
