Welfare Party welcomes SC’s verdict in the Babri demolition, demands resignation

Bidar(Karnataka): Welfare Party of India (WPI) has extended welcome to the Supreme Court verdict to go ahead with criminal conspiracy charges against top BJP leaders L.K. Advani, M.M. Joshi (both parliament members) Uma Bharti, union minister and others in the 1992 Babri masjid demolition case.

While addressing a public meeting at Bidar in connection with the national agitation “Democratic Resistance to Fascism”, Party national General Secretary P.C. Hamza said those named in the case should voluntarily relinquish of their posts or they might be removed.

“It is to be welcomed though after 25 years, the intervention of the apex court will pave the way to deliver justice. Those who are framed with serious charges like conspiracy should not hold any ministerial posts. Others in the case also must resign membership of the Lok Sabha. Likewise the President must intervene and ask Kalyan Singh to quit the post of Rajastan governorship,” he added.

Party general secretary asked to clear all the cases related to the Gujarat riots also in the same manner and evolve judicial procedure so that no government can interfere, influence, halt or delay trial proceedings of cases.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. B.T. Lalitha Naik, national vice president, Sheema Mohsin, national secretary, Engr. Rashid Hussain, state president, Rajastan, Abdul Hameed Faran, Mujahid Pasha.

A rally was taken out by party workers through city streets of Bidar.
