Shimla : Two missing children whose skeletons were found in the past week were killed by a leopard, villagers in Himachal Pradesh say.
One of the children was a nine-year-old girl and was killed Saturday. The other was an eight-year-old girl who was killed three days earlier in Chamba Valley, some 450 km from here.
Headmen of Baror and Kaila villages said they were able to identify the skeletal remains and clothes of the children.
Villagers said they were scared to let their children out in the forest to graze cattle because of a prowling leopard, media reports said Monday.
